Bluewater Projects

What we are doing:

Essential safety maintenance work is required to replace the edge tiles, grates and drainage system around the 25-meter pool and toddler pool. Patron safety is our priority, and these works are necessary due to failing tile edges, which, if left unattended, would cause a risk to patrons.
Whilst much of Bluewater was redeveloped in 2016, not all infrastructure is new, including the 25-metre pool, hence why this maintenance is required.
Contractors will be working seven days a week starting from 1 July. The timing has been chosen to coincide with the start of the school holidays when some of our regular user groups – schools and swim club – will be taking a break, and in a time when we generally see lower usage of the facility.

Whilst we understand this will still impact on some users of the pool, we have scheduled the works to minimise the impact on patrons as much as possible.

What this means for members and guests:

• Our 25-metre pool and toddler pool will be closed for five weeks from Monday July 1. We expect the facility to re-open in early August.
• The warm water pool, spa, sauna and changerooms will be closed for one week from Monday 1 July until Sunday 7 July.
• Term 3 swim school lessons will be limited to the warm water pool for the first three weeks of the program. All swim school participants will be contacted separately to outline what this means for them.

Please note - All other facilities remain open as usual including the gym, stadium, and our programs.

What happens with memberships:

• Aquatic memberships – free for the 5 week works period.
• Platinum memberships - transfer fee to Gold level for 5 week works period.
• Paid in Full memberships – will receive an extension onto end of contract by the number of days works go for.
• Any member can pause their membership for the works period by contacting the Bluewater reception desk with no additional fees or penalties.

We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary maintenance work may cause and appreciate your understanding and support in ensuring our facilities remain safe and well-maintained for all members.

If you have any questions, need further information, or would like to explore alternative health and fitness programs in this period, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service team.
